It’s a two-year program that gives you the opportunity to rotate through four distinct roles, each lasting six months, increasing in responsibility over time. Making the most of our high-caliber people, we ensure that you learn from those around you through mentoring as we nurture the skills and knowledge you need for a future leadership position within BT at Pfizer.

BT Rotational Opportunities

Our BT organization is made up of several sub-organizations, each referred to as a BT Group and aligned to different functions of the company. The BT Groups that currently hire Rotational Associates include:

  • Business Technology Infrastructure

  • Corporate Functions

  • Digital Mobile

  • Enterprise Resource Planning

  • Global Information Security

  • Pfizer Global Supply & Finance

  • Pfizer Innovative Health

  • Strategy, Enterprise Solutions & Risk Management

  • Worldwide Research and Development

  • Worldwide Safety, Regulatory and Medical

When you apply for the rotational program, your application will be shared with managers in each of the BT Groups above. If selected for further interviewing, we will invite you to interview with one or more BT Groups. If you are hired, you will be hired into a position in on of these BT Groups but you will be offered Cross-Line opportunities through the rotational program to enable you to gain experience in different areas of the BT organization.

Within the different BT Group, there are different types of roles grouped into two tracks:

Technical Track:
Technically-oriented tracks focus on developing skills such as Software Engineering, Technical Architecture, Information Security and Data Analytics. Our teams use cutting edge next generation technologies and analytics to develop systems, algorithms, and services which provide pharmaceutical therapies that improve patients’ lives. If you have a strong technical background, we recommend this track.

 Responsibilities include:
  • Create applications and services using languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, PHP, and Python

  • Design and build software products for web, desktop, and mobile clients (both iOS and Android)

  • Integrate systems using a variety of platform integration methods and tools

  • Optimize application architecture and systems performance for on premise and cloud based applications

  • Design, document, implement, support and monitor technology infrastructure

  • Build reports, interfaces and data feeds

  • Utilize statistics, visualization and analytics to derive insights from data

  • Perform advanced analytics combining computer science and data science skills and capabilities using tools such as Spotfire and/or Tableau

  • Document and transfer knowledge to others as needed

  • Collaborate to enhance culture and awareness of pharmaceutical industry

General Track:
The general track focuses on developing skills to interface with clients and deliver value in IT projects and initiatives. If you are pursuing Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, Communications or another non-technical degree, you should pursue this track.

 Responsibilities include:
  • Gather, analyze, document and communicate business and technical requirements

  • Perform business process mapping and analysis

  • Oversee and manage the rollout and support of technology solutions

  • Communicate updates and key milestones

  • Track project or department financials

  • Perform risk identification and management

  • Document and transfer knowledge to others as needed

  • Collaborate to enhance culture and awareness of pharmaceutical industry
