Breast milk is the ideal nutrition for infants — a concept that is fundamental to Pfizer Nutrition. It is our benchmark for our research programs. However, when a mother cannot or chooses not to breastfeed her baby, health authorities around the world agree that infant formula, developed according to Codex* standards and regional and national regulations, is the only safe, nutritionally, complete alternative for infants.
Our products provide complete nutrition to infants from birth to 6 months, and balanced nutrition to young children up to 7 years of age. We also manufacture special and hospital-based formulas for the special nutritional needs of pre-term and low-birth-weight babies, as well as those with specific medical needs. We've been manufacturing formula for nearly a century and know how important it is to get our products "just right."
