RTI’s Indonesia Expanding Maternal and Neonatal Survival (EMAS) project is a five year project (2011-2016) cooperative agreement that supports the government of Indonesia to reduce maternal and newborn mortality rates. In 2014-2015, Fellows will help RTI develop a marketing/communications strategy, build the capacity of civic forums to become more strategic and effective in their role and build the capacity of EMAS’s Indonesian clinical quality assurance partner.
From her fellowship experience, Nivi hopes to learn more about the challenges facing maternal and neonatal mortality in the developing world. She also hopes to gain a better understanding of how Pfizer works with partner organizations, the company’s reputation across the globe, and the impact that Pfizer’s mission, its medicines and people have outside of New York headquarters.
For more than 50 years, RTI International has provided government and private-sector clients with independent, objective research, development, and technical services.
