Green Chemistry: The Green Curriculum

"Benign by design," green chemistry is designed to have less impact on the environment by creating lower levels of waste and toxicity than traditional chemistry. Green chemistry is also a compelling way to assist teachers as they strive to interest middle school students (ages 9 – 13) in science and math.

A recognized leader in the science of green chemistry, Pfizer has developed middle school curricula with assistance from The Keystone Center and Beyond Benign. The middle school program, Recipe for Sustainable Science: An Introduction to Green Chemistry in the Middle School Curriculum, is available to all teachers for in-classroom use. English and Spanish versions of the program are available from Beyond Benign at www.beyondbenign.org.
