For more than 25 years, Pfizer has empowered patients in need with assistance and information, so they can get access to the Pfizer medicines prescribed by their doctor. In the United States, Pfizer RxPathways® connects eligible patients to a full range of Pfizer assistance programs that enable them to access insurance support, co-pay help, and medicines for free or at a savings.
In the last 5 years (2011-2015), Pfizer has helped over 2 million patients receive over 25 million Pfizer prescriptions for free or at a savings.* In 2015, 2.7 million co-pay cards were redeemed to help pay for Pfizer prescriptions.
As part of our commitment to access, Pfizer also provides charitable donations to independent, non-profit charitable organizations. These organizations support eligible patients who need help paying their out-of-pocket expenses, including co-pays or co-insurance. In 2015, Pfizer donated approximately $20 million to co-pay foundations for a range of disease states.
