Barbara has worked for Pfizer since September 2001 in various functions: as Drug Safety & Medical Information Officer, as Product Manager, and as a Clinical Research Project/Site Manager. Most recently she joined European Medical Information where she is responsible for Lipitor within the Primary Care hub, working on providing high-quality and consistent responses to customersı inquiries across Europe.
On her Fellowship with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Barbara will her background as a Pharmacist to assess and identify areas for improvement of the drug management systems in Burmese refugee camps around Mae Hong Son, Thailand. She will also work to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer within fluctuating health worker teams.
Barbaraıs motivation in applying for the GHF program was a desire to positively impact a resource-limited environment. She believes sheıll return from her assignment with enhanced creativity and leadership skills, a new perspective, and a greater understanding of the health care hurdles faced by the developing world.
