Frank joined Pfizer in July 2001 as Manager and Leader for the Quality Control (QC) microbiology lab. In addition, he is responsible for the Quality Control metrology group.
On his assignment with Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO) Frank will work with the Sihanouk Hospital Center of Hope to improve quality and efficiency in the laboratory. His tasks will include assisting staff in achieving International Organization for Standardization approval and reorganizing current lab activities so that they run more efficiently and turnaround time is reduced. In addition, he will set up continuing medical education sessions on the importance of various lab tests. Frank hopes to learn diverse ways to approach and solve challenges with limited resources. He believes that he will return with more tolerance for differing views and a wider perspective on day-to-day "problems."
