Jim has served the Pfizer biotech business for six years, five as senior organizational development consultant and currently as Leader of Organizational Effectiveness at Pfizer's Andover site. In those roles, he has facilitated strategy and leadership team development work with operating unit organizations and led the implementation of strategic human resource development programs at the Andover site. Prior to joining Pfizer, Jim served in management and organizational development roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, both in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
On assignment with the International AIDS Society (IAS), Jim will be helping IAS leaders implement their Organizational Effectiveness Process (OE), part of their recent 2010-14 strategic plan. His specific contributions will focus on IAS objectives for sustainable development in the areas of staff capacity, culture development and organizational design. While serving IAS Jim hopes to broaden his perspective on the workings of the world health care system and to help organizations collaborate in robust and sustainable ways. According to Jim, "To be given the opportunity to join IAS in this vital fight against HIV-AIDS is an honor and is a wish come true."
