Linda joined Pfizer in September 2003, first with Urology, and most recently in Respiratory as Marketing Director for SPIRIVA, part of the co-promote team with Boehringer Ingelheim (BI). Recently, she has been leading a preparedness plan for a new competitor launch to SPIRIVA, the market leader in COPD This has involved a multi-disciplinary approach to the development of key strategies/tactics for customer segments.
Her assignment with the Global Business Coalition will be as Social Marketing Fellow for the U.S. HIV Initiative. This initiative combines efforts of the private sector (including Pfizer) with resources of national HIV/AIDS organizations, local governments, and other nonprofits. The U.S. HIV Initiative seeks to educate millions, particularly minorities in major urban areas with a high prevalence of HIV/AIDS, about prevention/testing. Linda will be working on these efforts by leveraging new technologies, specifically social media, among younger populations.
Lindaýs experience with nonprofit, New York performance arts organizations has given her skills that will be helpful in her Fellowship, such as developing audience diversity. From her GHF experience, Linda hopes to learn more about the emerging technologies of social media, and how their potential can be optimized to target customer segments in a variety of therapeutic areas.
