With Pfizer since 2002, Liza has worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative within the cardiovascular and pain division, and most recently as a Therapeutic Specialty Representative. She has sold over 11 different products during her career. Currently, she is responsible for the Bronx and Westchester area and partners with key accounts and prescribers to increase the utilization of Lyrica, Celebrex and Aricept. In addition to her extensive industry experience, Liza received her MBA from Hofstra University with a focus in Marketing Management. Seven years ago, Liza established a scholarship with a local high school to motivate students to attend college. To date, the scholarship has helped eight students with their college plans. Liza is also an avid traveler and looks forward to living and working in Tanzania.
During her Fellowship with GALVmed, Liza will interface with the Market Development and Communications Managers to implement value chains with the goal of improving awareness and adoption of vaccines among farmers to reduce disease among their livestock. Liza hopes to learn more about vaccines and broaden her abilities to work and communicate with others towards a common goal. Liza believes she'll return from her assignment with greater skill in the area of engagement, communications and leadership.
