Fellow Biography: 

Parizad has worked for Pfizer since January 2004 as a sales representative in the North East division and more recently as a therapeutic sales representative for the psychiatric division in the New York District. She is responsible for the sales for Geodon and Pristiq in her territory Brooklyn West. She manages all sales and resources to psychiatrists within hospitals, community mental health clinics and private practices. Parizad provides educational resources and product samples, and as well as detailing FDA-approved clinical data. Ultimately she seeks to provide her physicians with the best choices for their patients' mental health needs.

Parizad was attracted to Pfizer before working for the company. In addition to Pfizer being a respected brand and successful business, Parizad was interested in the core values mission and purpose of the company worldwide. Parizad is passionate about working in the pharmaceutical industry. Global Health Fellows will provide Parizad a once in the life time opportunity to gain insight and share her skills abroad and upon return to USA. After her Fellowship, Parizad hopes to contribute more to Pfizer personally and professionally, returning with a refreshed sense of purpose and a higher level of motivation and empathy.

On her fellowship assignment with PSI in Mozambique, Parizad will be supporting a new and clearly identifiable move in the direction of working with Rx/ pharma type products and services. Parizad will provide strategies and marketing options to help evolve and expand pharma distribution through non traditional outlets and community health workers.
