After graduating from the University of Berne, Switzerland with a Master of Science in Business Administration degree and a marketing specialization, Thomas joined Pfizer Switzerland in 2006 as a marketing trainee. One year later he took over the responsibility for the marketing of Viagra in Switzerland. Recently, Thomas became a Brand Operations Manager for the Pfizer Urology Portfolio working from Zurich on two Paris-based European Brand Teams.
Thomas will be leveraging his marketing while on assignment at the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) in Kampala, Uganda. On assignment, Thomas will help to develop marketing strategies for the IDI and mentor a local individual for the core marketing position.
Upon his return, Thomas would like to contribute further to the success of his brands and teams with the new skills he will have acquired from working in a different environment. He hopes to bring creative new approaches to problem solving and to enhance his leadership skills.
Accordia Global Health Foundation in partnership with Pfizer Inc, the Academic Alliance, and Makerere University, established the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) as a preeminent center in sub-Saharan Africa for infectious disease training, treatment, and research within Uganda's Makerere University.
