Pfizer Clinical Research Units

What is Phase I Clinical Research?

The development of new medicines involves many stages and begins with several years of testing in a research laboratory. The next stage of development generally involves the study of potential new medicines in healthy populations. These early studies are called Phase I Clinical Research Studies. They will provide valuable information about how much and how often these potential new medicines should be given, and how people tolerate them.

Pfizer has three Phase I Clinical Research Units (CRU's) located around the world. With a CRU in New Haven, Connecticut; Brussels, Belgium and Singapore, the sun never sets on Pfizer's Clinical Research Units and opportunities to volunteer for a clinical research unit are available to almost everyone.
