What are you most looking forward to learning at the Aspen Ideas Festival?
I’m most excited about The Brain Track –looking forward to gaining insight into the latest innovative neuro-technologies being developed to support treating serious, life-threatening neurodegenerative diseases as early and as fast as possible.
What panels are you looking forward to attending at the Aspen Ideas Festival?
I will be front and center at the many Aging Brain presentations, including a talk to begiven by Alzheimer’s disease expert Sam Gandy.I look forward to discussing with experts and fellow scholars the impact of aging as it relates to neurotoxic peptide accumulation in the brain, imaging, and appropriate endpoints to assess treatment outcomes as early as thepre-symptomatic stages of disease.
If you were speaking on a panel at Aspen Ideas Festival, what would you be speaking about?
If given the opportunity to speak I would focus on the importance of utilizing expedited and adaptive regulatory pathways developed by Health Authorities to support accelerating access to innovative medicines for devastating diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.I would love the opportunity to lead a multi-stakeholder discussion including patients, senior regulators, and payers from across the globe to allow for sharing of different perspectives on the benefits and risks associated with shifting specific market access requirements to the post-approval settingfor promising medicines.
Check back in a few days to hear about our scholars’ experiences.
