(NYSE:PFE) and IBM (NYSE:IBM) today announced a first-of-its-kind research collaboration to develop innovative remote monitoring solutions aimed at transforming how clinicians deliver care to patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease. The experimental approach will rely on a system of sensors, mobile devices, and machine learning to provide real-time, around-the-clock disease symptom information to clinicians and researchers. The ultimate goal is to obtain a better understanding of a patient’s disease progression and medication response to help inform treatment decisions and clinical trial design, while also speeding the development of new therapeutic options.

 
- Pfizer Receives European Approval for New Multi-Dose Vial Presentation of Prevenar 13®

NEW YORK--Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) announced today that the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved a new four-dose, multi-dose vial (MDV) presentation of Prevenar 13®* (pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine [13 – valent, adsorbed]). This new MDV presentation was developed to help maximize efficiency for health care workers by helping to significantly reduce storage requirements and shipping costs in communities with health systems that are still developing.
