Fortifying Health Systems to Improve Access to Health Care for Syrian Refugees

The Pfizer Foundation*, in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), recently launched an innovative health service delivery model to provide essential primary health care services to refugees in Jordan.

As global humanitarian crises persist, unmet health care needs in Jordan and other countries with large refugee communities will remain significant. Working in collaboration with the Jordanian Ministry of Heath, the IRC and other partners are leading efforts to increase the resiliency of the health system to meet the essential health needs of some of the most vulnerable populations. The partnership aims to support local efforts to build equitable health systems to ensure health for all.
