Role Summary
Our Global Cyber Defense team is responsible for safeguarding Pfizer’s digital assets and infrastructure through proactive threat detection, response, and risk mitigation across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
The Senior Associate, Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) supports the collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat intelligence to enable proactive cyber defense across a global pharmaceutical enterprise. This role focuses on transforming internal and external threat data into actionable intelligence that helps protect intellectual property, clinical systems, patient data, manufacturing operations, and the supply chain.
As part of the Cyber Defense organization, the Senior Associate partners closely with the SOC, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Services, Endpoint Security, and GRC teams to monitor adversary activity, support detection and response efforts, and inform tactical security decisions. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day intelligence operations while building depth in threat analysis, adversary tracking, and intelligence tradecraft.
Role Responsibilities
Support the execution of the CTI program by contributing analysis aligned to business priorities, risk tolerance, and regulatory considerations.
Assist with maintaining intelligence requirements focused on threats to pharmaceutical R&D, clinical operations, manufacturing, and third‑party ecosystems.
Conduct analysis of threat actors, campaigns, malware, and tactics, techniques, and procedures, with focus on adversaries relevant to the life sciences sector.
Partner with SOC and Detection Engineering teams to help translate threat intelligence into detection use cases, alert tuning, and threat‑hunting hypotheses.
Support Incident Response efforts during active investigations by providing adversary context, potential next steps, and mitigation considerations.
Collaborate with Vulnerability Management teams to help inform remediation prioritization based on active exploitation and threat relevance.
Contribute to engagement with threat intelligence vendors, industry sharing groups, and trusted peer communities by monitoring shared intelligence and synthesizing relevant insights.
Prepare threat intelligence briefings, summaries, and reports that communicate threat trends and potential business impact to stakeholders.
Support the tracking of CTI metrics and usage indicators to help assess intelligence value and operational impact.
Contribute to continuous improvement of intelligence processes, tooling, and integration with cyber defense workflows.
Ensure intelligence activities follow internal policies, data handling requirements, and ethical standards.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience; OR a Master's degree with more than 0+ years of experience; OR an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.
Experience working in cyber threat intelligence, security operations, incident response, threat detection, or a related cybersecurity domain.
Strong understanding of cyber threat actors, common attack techniques, and adversary behaviors affecting enterprise environments.
Ability to analyze threat data from multiple sources and synthesize it into clear, actionable intelligence.
Experience producing written intelligence outputs such as threat reports, summaries, or briefings for technical audiences.
Familiarity with collaborating across SOC, incident response, vulnerability management, or engineering teams.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms, intelligence lifecycle processes, and structured analytic techniques.
Knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK for adversary and tactic mapping.
Exposure to supporting detection engineering, threat hunting, or incident response through intelligence inputs.
Experience in regulated or highly controlled environments (e.g., healthcare, life sciences, financial services).
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM,GCTI, GCIH, or equivalent intelligence‑ or security focused credentials).
