Pfizer Futures Assessment Guidance

Get your Futures assessment

The Pfizer Futures assessment is designed to help us better understand your potential and identify candidates who may thrive within Pfizer's values-driven culture and future talent pipeline

About the Assessment

As part of the Pfizer Futures application process, candidates who meet the program's basic eligibility requirements will be invited to complete an online assessment. The assessment was specifically developed to help evaluate early talent candidates against competencies aligned with Pfizer's values and workplace expectations. It combines behavioral-based questions with interactive cognitive exercises to provide a holistic view of each candidate's potential.

The assessment takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete.

What to Expect

The assessment includes:

  • Behavioral-based questions that allow you to share examples from your experiences
  • Interactive game-based exercises designed to evaluate cognitive abilities and problem-solving approaches

Assessment Process

  • Candidates who meet the basic program requirements will receive an email invitation to complete the assessment approximately one week after submitting their application.
  • Once the assessment is received, candidates will have 5 days (120 hours) to complete it.
  • Candidates who meet the assessment criteria will move forward in the candidate pool for additional program consideration.

How to Prepare

While there is no need to study for the game-based exercises, you can prepare for the behavioral questions by reflecting on experiences that demonstrate your skills, accomplishments, and personal growth.

When preparing your responses, think broadly about your experiences. Your examples do not need to come from a formal job or internship. Strong examples can come from academic projects, research opportunities, student organizations, volunteer work, athletics or other extracurricular activities. The goal is to identify experiences that demonstrate how you approached challenges, worked with others, learned new skills, or achieved meaningful results.

To help structure your responses, consider using the STAR Method, a widely used framework for answering behavioral interview questions:

STAR: Situation Task Action Result

Using the STAR Method can help you provide clear, organized responses that highlight your experiences and demonstrate your potential.

Final Tips

  • Answer thoughtfully and authentically.
  • Focus on your own contributions and impact.
  • Use specific examples whenever possible.
  • Ensure you have a quiet environment and reliable internet connection before starting.

Pfizer in partnership with Atrium utilizes an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) for screening purposes in the recruitment process. Pfizer and Atrium will use AEDTs to assess a candidate’s assessment responses. If you prefer not to have artificial intelligence used to evaluate your responses, you may opt out by selecting "I do not consent" before beginning the HireVue Assessment.
