About the Role
Pfizer's Chief Marketing Office is transforming how commercial content is created, reviewed, and approved. We are building a suite of AI capabilities that span content generation, promotional review coaching, intelligent triage, and document comparison — enabling Pfizer's marketing teams and content creators to move faster, with higher quality, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Director, AI Product is a product leader responsible for owning and delivering AI capabilities across an assigned set of product focus areas within the end-to-end commercial Content Creation, Review, and Approval process. This role partners closely with the E2E Content AI Product Lead and CMO, US, and International business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute a product roadmap that meets the needs of Pfizer’s teams across the end-to-end content journey.
Key Responsibilities
• Own product prioritization, delivery, and outcomes for an assigned set of AI-enabled capabilities within the US and International commercial Content Creation, Review, and Approval process.
• Working with the E2E Content AI Product Lead, define and execute the AI capability roadmap for a defined product scope, ensuring alignment with business value drivers and end-to-end user needs and workflows.
• Drive stakeholder and user engagement for the assigned product area, such as Content Creation, Review and Approval, including US and International regions, to surface requirements, validate priorities, and build alignment on the roadmap.
• Support the E2E Content AI Product Owner and the Marketing AI Product Lead in preparing executive-level communications on the product strategy and roadmap
• Partner with other Product Owners in the Marketing AI Team, and Strategy and Operations Team to optimize the pipeline of AI opportunities, including aligning the Marketing AI Product roadmaps with AI Council outputs and AI incubation initiatives
• Maintain product cohesiveness and integrated product strategy while incorporating business priorities and needs from Commercial functions, Commercial-interfacing functions, and Geographies
• For new prioritized opportunities, lead requirements definition, design, development, and delivery in close partnership with a cross-functional delivery Pod consisting of UI/UX, Business Translation, AI Agent Development, and Data.
• For existing capabilities, maintain strategic ownership of the business requirements backlog, lead value assessment and prioritization, and coordinate closely with technical delivery teams for feasibility assessment and delivery planning.
• Collaborate with Change and Adoption teams and relevant functional leadership to define and execute communications, change, and adoption plans that drive AI fluency, awareness, and adoption across US and international markets.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Pharmacy, Public Health), Biomedical Science, or related fields
• 8+ years of experience in product leadership, strategic initiatives, commercial or digital transformation, enterprise platforms, delivering technology, data, or AI‑enabled solutions in a large, matrixed organization. Accountability for prioritization, execution, and business outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience working with AI or machine learning products, including comfort with technical concepts such as LLMs, agents, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Experience translating strategic goals into executable roadmaps, sequencing initiatives based on value, risk, and delivery feasibility.
• Experience working in or with the pharmaceutical industry, with familiarity with commercial content creation or promotional review and approval processes.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills with proven ability to influence without authority across business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing product backlogs, writing business requirements, and driving delivery in an Agile or hybrid product delivery environment.
• Excellent communication and executive presence — able to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences and business requirements for technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AI product development in regulated industries.
• Exposure to content operations, brand, or marketing functions within a global pharmaceutical company.
• Exposure to AI‑enabled, data‑driven, or advanced analytics solutions, with an understanding of how such capabilities are operationalized in business workflows.

Breakthroughs that change patients’ lives
Research confirms what intuition tells us: that purpose-driven companies perform better, are more innovative, attract and retain the best people, and know how to unleash the power of those people. Pfizer’s purpose—Breakthroughs that change patients' lives—fuels everything we do and reflects our passion for building on our legacy as one of the greatest contributors of good to the world.
Each word in our purpose has meaning and reflects the value we strive to bring to patients and society:
“Breakthroughs” - These are the innovations, scientific and commercial, that we seek to deliver every day. All colleagues, regardless of role, level or location, strive for breakthroughs every day.
“Change” - We want to do more than simply improve patients’ medical conditions; we want to dramatically change their lives for the better.
“Patients’ lives” - We consider not only patients, but everyone they touch—including their families, caregivers, and friends—and everything they love to do. It’s an intentionally holistic view.
Our purpose ensures that patients remain at the center of all we do. We live our purpose by sourcing the best science in the world; partnering with others in the healthcare system to improve access to our medicines; using digital technologies to enhance our drug discovery and development, as well as patient outcomes; and leading the conversation to advocate for pro-innovation/pro-patient policies.
Every decision we make and every action we take is done with the patient in mind—and to nurture an environment where breakthroughs can thrive.
Our Values
To fully realize Pfizer’s purpose, we have established a clear set of expectations regarding “what” we need to achieve for patients and “how” we will go about achieving those goals.
The “how” is represented by four simple, powerful values—courage, excellence, equity, and joy—that define our company and our culture.
Courage: Breakthroughs start by challenging convention, especially in the face of uncertainty or adversity. This happens when we think big, speak up, and are decisive.
Excellence: We can only change patients’ lives when we perform at our best together. This happens when we focus on what matters, agree who does what, and measure our outcomes.
Equity: We believe that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and cared for. This happens when we are inclusive, act with integrity, and reduce healthcare disparities.
Joy: We give ourselves to our work, but it also gives to us. We find joy when we take pride, recognize one another, and have fun.
