Ama Amoah is the Finance Director, Business Development and serves as the business finance leader on equity investments decisions, partnering with the Pfizer Ventures and Pfizer Breakthrough Growth Initiative teams. She also serves as the primary finance point of contact for business development deals, providing financial leadership on external development opportunities and offering business consultation and analytical support throughout all stages of the BD process.

Most recently, Ama provided financial leadership, business consultation, thought partnership and analytical support to the Pfizer Ignite business. She also managed central deals investment decisions within the Pfizer Research and Development Discovery and Early Development organization.

Ama rejoined Pfizer in 2019 and supported the I&I RU, Investor Relations, and various teams in the legacy Global Product Development and Worldwide Safety organizations. Previously, she worked for Royal Dutch Shell in Norway, where she performed valuation analyses for JV assets, and led negotiations for long-term gas contracts. Ama holds a BSc in Chemistry from McMaster University and received her MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management.
