ROLE SUMMARY
The Director of UI/UX & Workflow is a strategic leader responsible for shaping the user experience and operational workflows of AI-powered solutions across healthcare initiatives. This role ensures that digital products are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with the needs of diverse stakeholders across US Commercial Organization. The Director will lead a multidisciplinary team of designers, researchers, and workflow analysts to deliver seamless, human-centered experiences that drive adoption and impact.
Role Responsibilities
Experience Strategy & Design Leadership
Define and execute the UI/UX vision for AI-enabled platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
Lead the creation of design systems, interaction models, and visual languages that support consistency and scalability.
Champion design thinking and human-centered design methodologies across the AI Accelerator team.
Workflow Optimization & Integration
Analyze and map end-to-end user workflows across clinical, commercial, and operational domains.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing processes and systems.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and enhance productivity through intelligent automation and design.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of UI/UX designers, researchers, and workflow analysts.
Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous learning.
Establish clear goals, KPIs, and development plans for team members
Stakeholder Engagement & Co-Creation
Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and user research sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
Translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive user experiences.
Advocate for user needs and accessibility in all stages of product development.
Design Governance & Quality Assurance
Implement design review processes, usability testing protocols, and accessibility standards.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
Maintain documentation of design decisions, user journeys, and workflow models.
Innovation & Emerging Trends
Monitor trends in digital health, AI interfaces, and user experience design.
Explore emerging technologies for potential integration.
Lead pilot initiatives to test new interaction paradigms and design innovations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field.
10+ years of experience in UI/UX design and workflow optimization, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
Proven experience designing digital health or AI solutions in regulated environments.
Expertise in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping platforms.
Strong understanding of user research, usability testing, and accessibility standards.
Experience with agile development, product management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Work location: Flexible; 2-3 days onsite/week
