
ROLE SUMMARY
The AI Acceleration (AIA) function within the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) is the single, business-led engine that owns the design, delivery, and scale-up of priority AI capabilities across Commercial. AIA works in tight collaboration with various Pfizer functions to deploy and maintain production-grade AI solutions that simplify how we work and drive measurable value across all processes.
As a Product Owner in the newly formed AIA team, you will be a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams within the AI Accelerator. This role is critical in ensuring that AI and data-driven solutions are aligned with real-world business needs, particularly in complex healthcare environments across the US Commercial Organization. The Product Owner will lead the translation of business challenges into actionable AI use cases, enabling impactful innovation
Role Responsibilities
Product alignment: Partner with US leads to understand business strategic objectives to help liaison across capability interfacing with UI/UX designers, cross CMO channel teams, data teams and development teams to define end-to-end requirements for Commercial capabilities to provide clarity on objectives, value drivers, and success criteria
Requirement translation: Elicit and structure requirements from the product leads to convert them into actionable inputs and outputs for the user stories and acceptance criteria for technical and product teams
Roadmap alignment: Partner with PMO to understand strategic business goals and priorities, working to support roadmap across agent product management team, engineering teams and digital initiatives aligned to measurable outcomes
Workflow redesign: Align with product and business stakeholders on adoption metrics, process workflow adjustments to communicate solution value, impact, and readiness for new ways of working
Performance tracking & feedback review: Partner with product and data teams to define and track performance metrics post-deployment to ensure delivery of business value and continuous improvement and adoption of key stakeholders
Testing & validation: Partner with development and QA teams and help develop evaluations as business SMEs to validate that solutions meet business expectations before launch
Communication adoption reviews, ensuring alignment across teams
Culture & collaboration: Foster a culture of clarity, transparency, and collaboration across business and technical teams to enable seamless delivery
Create and execute the project plan across business requirements to product timeline to ensure timely launch plan & iteration implementation
Align with governance: confirm data access, model/feature approvals, risk controls, and compliance requirements before build
Triage and resolve user issues; communicate updates and workarounds
Lead user adoption strategies, onboarding, training and feedback loops
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Health, or Data Science related field.
9+ years of experience in business analysis, data science, strategy, or digital transformation, preferably in healthcare or life sciences.
Proven experience working with AI/ML teams and translating business needs into technical requirements.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare technology environments.
Experience synthesizing HCP journeys, brand strategies, segmentation and content intelligence
Knowledge of commercial datasets (IQVIA, Veeva, Salesforce CRM, marketing automation tools)
Exposure to Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) workflows
Familiarity with Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, LLM based products
Familiarity with compliance standards such as GxP, HIPAA, and data privacy regulations.
Knowledge of enterprise workflow tools – Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Veeva etc
Demonstrated success in deploying AI or ML solutions in production environments.
