
ROLE SUMMARY
The AI Acceleration (AIA) function within the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) is the single, business-led engine that owns the design, delivery, and scale-up of priority AI capabilities across Commercial. AIA works in tight collaboration with various Pfizer functions to deploy and maintain production-grade AI solutions that simplify how we work and drive measurable value across all processes.
As a Program Manager in the newly formed AIA team, you will work closely with global PMO team to develop and execute plans for large-scale AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and timelines
and deliver measurable business value globally.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop plans for large scale initiatives, working collaboratively large matrixed teams of ISEs, Data Scientists, Engineers, Product Owners and Governance & Transformation leaders.
- Leverage strong relationships with key leaders across a variety of teams to support current and future initiatives.
- Leveraging a variety of communication skills to effectively communicate the strategic narrative of your analytics project portfolio, influencing senior management.
- Promotes innovation and takes risk to challenge status quo, Identifying new business opportunities and developing solutions that balance impact, cost, resourcing, timeline, success likelihood, and risk.
- Identify data-driven areas of waste and propose optimization strategies.
- Anticipates issues that impact project plans and proactively suggest mitigations.
- Demonstrate foresight and judgement in complex decisions and troubleshoots ambiguous situations to provide clarity for cross functional teams.
- Managing business-critical metrics on workload and performance, across complex portfolio of projects, of the Analytics team and creating analytic products to track these metrics.
- Execute day-to-day project management activities across portfolio of projects that include, coordinating activities between internal teams and partners, tracking progress towards achievements, continuously anticipating changes to plans, and keeping teams and leadership updated on status.
- Leading regular executive communication with teammates, partners, and leadership and conducting periodic reviews with executive sponsors.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering or similar related field required; MS or MBA preferred.
- 9+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating career progression through levels of responsibility leading projects within data engineering, analytics, or other related settings.
- PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe certified or equivalent required; must have a proven track record of setting up and leading agile development using SAFe, Scrum, XP etc.
- Experience leading cross functional teams in a working in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
- Experience in implementation of prioritization programs, roadmaps using KPI/OKR methodology, and program management required; portfolio management is a plus.
- Experience in managing trade-offs and prioritizing using data across portfolios of projects.
- A creative problem solver with an excellent ability to influence without authority.
- Mastery of influencing without authority, leveraging written and verbal communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
- The ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.

- Healthcare Industry experience, with understanding of commercial processes
- Data science or machine learning experience, Management consulting, or other relevant product management experience a plus.
