What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
Lead people, technology, and financial resources to meet business objectives.
Identify and develop innovative concepts for process or product improvements, taking calculated risks to achieve results.
Solve complex problems, leveraging experience from various areas as needed.
Recognize and address development, creating growth opportunities for colleagues.
Manage the performance of direct and indirect reports.
Oversee defined processes, guide maintenance teams, and ensure efficiency and standardization, including organizing breakdown maintenance and implementing corrective actions.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, ensure effective communication with stakeholders, and maintain a comprehensive staff training program.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of production systems and equipment and ancillary systems and equipment.
Conduct advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve complex equipment issues.
Ensure compliance with Pfizer and Victorian safety regulations and standards, including conducting safety inspections and implementing safety measures.
Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
Provide technical guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and issues.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance.
Proficiency in mechanical and plumbing systems. Knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation, and other facility systems.
Strong leadership and team management abilities. Ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of technicians.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to think critically and implement effective and sustainable solutions.
Demonstrated direct supervisory experience
Solid understanding of knowledge management
Proficiency in Good Manufacturing Practices (including cGMP), TGA, FDA, and environmental regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry
Strong English speaking and writing abilities
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with communication protocols
Experience with LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to mentor and develop team members
Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
