Use Your Power for Purpose
Do you want to make a global impact on patient health? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment that integrates scientific, clinical, and commercial domains through engineering, data science, and AI. Join Pfizer Digital’s Commercial Creation Center & CDI organization (C4) to leverage cutting-edge technology for critical business decisions and enhance customer experiences for colleagues, patients, and physicians. Our team of engineering, data science, and AI professionals is at the forefront of Pfizer’s transformation into a digitally driven organization, using data science and AI to change patients’ lives, leading process and engineering innovations to advance AI and data science applications from prototypes and MVPs to full production.
As a Senior Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, your responsibilities will include architecting and implementing AI solutions at scale for Pfizer. You will iteratively develop and continuously improve data science workflows, AI based software solutions, and AI components.
What You Will Achieve
Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering & DevOps
Lead the design, build, and operation of cloud-native infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure, supporting application, data, and ML workloads.
Own infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm) and Git-based workflows to ensure repeatable, auditable, and scalable environments.
Operate and evolve standardized CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) for services, data pipelines, and ML deployments, aligned to enterprise platform standards.
Implement and maintain platform capabilities including:
Kubernetes/Docker runtime environments
Identity, access management, and policy enforcement
Secrets management and configuration governance
Partner with the Platform lead to implement architecture patterns and paved paths, driving adoption through reusable modules and templates.
Reliability, Observability & Operational Excellence

Testing Enablement (Infrastructure & Non-Functional Focus)
Ensure testing is built into infrastructure and delivery pipelines, including:
Automated infrastructure validation (IaC testing, policy-as-code)
CI/CD pipeline tests and deployment verification
Environment readiness and smoke testing
Partner with application and QA teams to support non-functional testing needs:
Performance and load testing environments
Reliability and failover testing
Security and vulnerability scanning integration
Promote “shift-left” practices by embedding test execution, quality gates, and release checks into CI/CD workflows.
Track and report infrastructure-related quality signals, such as deployment failures, environment defects, and rollback frequency.
Data & AI Infrastructure Enablement
Support analytics and ML teams by providing secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure for data pipelines and model execution.
Operate core MLOps infrastructure components, such as:
Model deployment pipelines
Runtime environments
Monitoring and rollback mechanisms
Partner with data and AI leaders to implement platform standards for security, access, and operational readiness, without owning data science outcomes.
People Leadership & Delivery Management
Support analytics and ML teams by providing secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure for data pipelines and model execution.
Set clear execution priorities aligned to platform roadmaps and business outcomes.
Coach engineers on:
Infrastructure best practices
Reliability and security mindset
Automation and operational ownership
Establish strong delivery discipline through sprint planning, technical reviews, documentation, and operational runbooks.
