Tian Xiang Miao is the Regional President, Greater China, for Pfizer's Upjohn business, which includes mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan and the Country Manager for all of Pfizer China. Previously he was Regional President of Greater China Region, Pfizer Essential Health (PEH). He oversaw responsibility for the PEH business in mainland China and the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.
Mr. Miao joined Pfizer in 1994 and has held a series of roles across the company, including Pfizer's animal health, manufacturing, and pharma businesses. Prior to his current role, Mr. Miao served as Vice President of Finance for Pfizer Greater China. He was responsible for supporting Pfizer's overall business in mainland China and the PEH business in the Greater China region. He was fully involved in the formulation and implementation of the company's strategies and was responsible for corporate investment, financial management, and compliance risk management, among other activities. In 2016, Mr. Miao was appointed as interim CEO of the Hisun-Pfizer joint venture.
Mr. Miao holds a master's degree in Economics from Northeast University of Finance and Economics and is certified in China as a CPA. Before joining Pfizer, he was an Associate Professor at Northeast University of Finance and Economics.
