We believe that policy challenges across the healthcare system are stifling the full potential of today’s scientific breakthroughs. Ready for Cures was created to address this by advocating for increased access to life-saving medicines and fostering policies that support healthcare innovation.

This year, we are opening several state-of-the-art research and development facilities across the country. This investment will not only create U.S. jobs but also strengthen Pfizer’s efforts to produce and improve patient access to potentially life-saving treatments. But these treatments don’t work if patients can’t afford them.

Through Ready for Cures, we are advocating for solutions that will help lower healthcare costs and save taxpayer dollars. We need policies that support patient access to FDA-approved, often lower cost treatments like biosimilars — a solution that could save the U.S. economy as much as $54 billion over the next decade. We also need to support rebate reform that delivers savings to patients, not middlemen.
