St. Louis, MO Site Statistics:
- Pfizer R&D has had a significant presence in Missouri since 2002 and currently occupies a 350,000 square-foot location in the St. Louis area, which opened in 2019.
- The majority of the site’s footprint is devoted to laboratory and manufacturing space for our BioTherapeutics Pharmaceutical Sciences group and enabling partners, focused on the development of potential new medicines to help prevent or treat diseases and conditions across Internal Medicine, Inflammation & Immunology, Oncology, and Vaccines.
- This group is responsible for developing novel manufacturing processes, analytical controls, and drug formulations, preparing biologic therapies and vaccines for clinical trials, conducting scale-up studies, as well as providing data required for regulatory submissions.
Our St. Louis colleagues are actively involved in the local community through participating in fundraising events, volunteering, and supporting advocacy initiatives, along with other STEM education opportunities.
