Independent Medical Education
Pfizer recognizes knowledge exchange as an important component of the continuing education continuum and offers support for these programs through independent medical education grants.
An independent medical education grant is a type of grant which consists of Pfizer funding for independent medical education activities or initiatives which serve to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and/or professional performance of a healthcare professional (e.g. continuing medical education, continuing health education, continuing education). These activities or initiatives may or may not be accredited.
The following are types of requests for Pfizer support of independent medical education:

Eligible organizations can request funding to support LIVE national and regional conferences and congresses.

Response to Request for Proposal
In certain clinical areas, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted. The RFP will describe:
- the clinical area of interest,
- the approximate total budget available,
- what information must be in the application.
