In onze productieafdelingen worden grondstoffen omgevormd tot afgevulde medicijnen. Het product doorloopt hierbij verschillende productiestappen (wegen, formulatie, preparatie, vullen, vriesdrogen, cappen, inspectie, opslag en transport). Bij alle stappen streeft productie naar de hoogste graad van operationele uitmuntendheid. Verder in het productieproces zal het medicijn nog van een label voorzien en verpakt worden om vervolgens via de distributieketen tot bij onze patiënt te geraken.

Als Machinesteller waarborg je de optimale werking van de vullijnen. Je zorgt daarbij voor:
Voorbereiden en opstarten van de productieactiviteiten
Omstellen van de lijnen en uitvoeren van setup
Afstellen en afregelen van de verschillende machines en systemen
Uitvoeren van controles (verificatie, in-proces, …)
Verhelpen en voorkomen van machine stilstanden
Oplossen van kleine breakdowns
Dagelijks onderhoud van de machines en het documenteren van alle operaties.
Tot slot werk je mee aan het bevoorraden van de lijnen, reinigt de machines en onderdelen en staat in voor de orde en netheid.

De Pfizer site in Puurs is één van de grootste productie- en verpakkingssites van Pfizer wereldwijd, gespecialiseerd in aseptische productie en verpakking. Jaarlijks worden in Puurs meer dan 400 miljoen doses injecteerbare vaccins en medicijnen geproduceerd. Deze zijn ter plaatse verpakt in ampullen, flacons, plastic flessen, spuiten en patronen voor pennen.
De medicijnen die in Puurs worden gemaakt, zijn bestemd voor patiënten in meer dan 170 landen wereldwijd. 30% van de productie uit Puurs is bestemd voor ontwikkelingslanden, in samenwerking met UNICEF, WHO, GAVI en ngo's.
Met het gebruik van twee windturbines, zonnepanelen en een warmtekrachtcentrale richten we ons op hernieuwbare energie.
