In June 2017, Pfizer Groton Laboratories provided grants to 67 programs in southeastern Connecticut, the greater New Haven area and southern Rhode Island. Priority was given to programs that bring science and math to students from elementary through high school. Additional grants were made to programs that provide for the underserved or to support local civic and cultural institutions.
At Pfizer, “community” is a core value. Through our Community Grants program, Pfizer Groton Laboratories makes charitable contributions to eligible nonprofit organizations. These donations assist programs that are making an impact on science and math education and community vibrancy in the communities where our colleagues live and work.
Among the 2017 recipients were Ledyard High School First Robotics Team, Local United Network to Combat Hunger, Project Oceanology and CT Society of Professional Engineers. Link to full recipient list: http://info.chamberect.com/news/details/pfizer-awards-community-grants.
