It all began with 2 curious cousins
Our story begins with cousins Charles Pfizer and Charles Erhart in a brick building in Brooklyn, New York in 1849. The 2 borrowed $2500 from Mr. Pfizer’s father to open a fine-chemicals business, and between their chemist and confectioner brains, created a toffee-flavored antiparasitic that was an instant success.
Charles Pfizer and Charles Erhart went on to create one of the most successful and trusted pharmaceutical companies in the world. And our executives and current board continue to push that same envelope, expand our horizons, and motivate our employees to do more.
